The Great Monsanto Debate

The Great Monsanto Debate

The Great Monsanto Debate is a heated topic is mainstream social media.  However, television media still does not cover this topic, or understand what the great debate is all about.  The corporate side of Monsanto is a model robust top tier company that is doing their part to change science.  Monsanto Seeds have created a scientifically modified seed that increases food quantity for difficult to farm terrain, with unpredictable temperatures.

That is great news that a corporation is doing their part to help contribute to lessening the worlds hunger crisis.  The other side of the debate challenges by asking what about the health risks involved?  These scientifically altered seeds are causing great amounts of genetic destruction, sterilization, and super-weeds that require soil, water, and air polluting scientifically created toxins to kill them.  This is the reason that scientifically modified transformation of genetics is a debate that is being challenged across the globe.

The Monsanto side assures us that “Regulatory – is responsible for conducting scientific studies to prove the safety and effectiveness of our technology in order to obtain the necessary government approvals globally to launch our products” Monsanto.

The Citizens on the outside of the corrupt corporate led policies people are asking why the citizens would vote to allow the fox to sit with the chickens in the chicken house. This vote was obviously not made for, or on the behalf of the citizens.  The citizens were not a concern for President Obama as he led momentum to “FDA announced that Michael Taylor, a former Monsanto executive, had joined the agency as “senior advisor to the commissioner” Grist.  Tom Phillpott goes on to say that “Taylor’s new position isn’t his first in government. He’s a veteran apparatchik who has made an art of the role-swapping dance between the food industry and the agencies that regulate it” Grist.  This is where the people are having major issues.  This is the definition of corruption at the root.

The truth is that if you look at this from a different point of view what are the chances of a villain criminal becoming a police officer?  Let’s talk about this for a moment because this is a valid point.  The people want to ask what would happen if a police officer gets tired of his job.  He says law enforcement is not what it is all cracked up to be.  In fact, he runs out and joins a local gang and becomes a criminal.  He commits a few crimes, avoids sentencing because one of his buddies catches him doing something he wasn’t supposed to do.  This incident makes him think, and then his conscious gets the better of him.  The next day he decides to give up the life of being a criminal so he can return to the life of a nice police officer.

Does this make sense to anyone? How can Monsanto employees be allowed to work for a predominant position in FDA?  The FDA is supposed to protect the people, but it seems to take pride in the destruction of people.  We have no bans on prescription synthetics that are killing citizens at record numbers.  Seriously, question why is it that we have ban on Marijuana an innocent weed that cures cancer.  These are real issues that must be challenged.

Why is the White House, US Court’s, and EPA protecting Monsanto from charges against humanity? Corporations are not people.  Corporations are responsible for the harm that they inflict.  We could go back to social responsibility.  This is something that we are taught in college courses.  In fact “Corporate social responsibility encompasses not only what companies do with their profits, but also how they make them. It goes beyond philanthropy and compliance and addresses how companies manage their economic, social, and environmental impacts, as well as their relationships in all key spheres of influence: the workplace, the marketplace, the supply chain, the community, and the public policy realm” Harvard.

We are faced with a Corporate Monopoly that is controlling our government from the inside out.  These issues that are being presented will plague our people by contaminating our food, causing genetic abnormalities, creating disastrous environmental issues with soil, water, and air.  Disastrous is an understatement in fact His Royal Highness, Prince Charles, proclaimed in 2008 “What, all run by gigantic corporations? Is that really the answer? I think not. That would be the absolute destruction of everything and the classic way of ensuring that there is no food in the future. Millions of small farmers will be driven off their land [by global conglomerates] into unsustainable, unmanageable, degraded and dysfunctional conurbations of unmentionable awfulness. The “clever” genetic engineers have put us on course for the biggest disaster environmentally of all time. We should be working with nature. We have been working against nature for too long.” Huff Post

The fact is that although other countries are wising up to this sinister corporate agenda “While 30 countries, including Australia, Japan, and all of the countries in the European Union, have significant restrictions and labeling requirements, or outright bans on the production of GMOs, there are presently no U.S. laws requiring GMO labeling” Huff Post.
